Originally founded by Lloyd Budd in the 1960s, Budd Scale was purchased by Hugh Baker, Doug Dobler, and Dennis Porter in 1980. Since then, Budd Scale Sales and Service has provided Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland with quality support, sales, and service. Located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Budd Scale is committed to providing its customers with new products, maintenance programs, data collection (attended and unattended), and services tailored to meet individual requirements.

Budd Scale is an authorized heavy capacity (Truck and Rail Scales) distributor for Thurman, Rice Lake, Cardinal, and Winslow. We also provide portable rental scales and equipment for any application, including floor or pallet scales, bench scales, platform scales, or balances. Our technicians are state-certified professionals operating three Heavy-Duty Test and Calibration Units and fully equipped mechanic and service trucks out of the Uniontown location.

Budd Scale employs its own in-house foundation and construction crew with over 200 installations and projects throughout our service area. We pride ourselves on timely, reliable, and accurate service.
